A physician who completes a specific rigorous certification process and passes a board examination are designated as Diplomates of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. It distinguishes a physician as having achieved a higher level of understanding in obesity care by completing specialized education. There is currently only one obesity medicine certified physician for every 100,000 patients.

  • Our program is led by an on-site physician who is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. 
  • We have individually customized plans to fit everyone’s needs and lifestyle. We don’t use the “one size fits all” approach.
  • We use specific medical meal plans that can only be done under the care of a physician.
  • Once you reach your weight loss goal, we will stay with you to help you maintain the weight that you worked so hard to lose.

Your safety is our number one priority. Our entire program is evidence based – our recommendations and guidelines are based on scientific research. This ensures that your treatment is both safe and effective. We stay away from “gimmicks” and “fad diets” which have no medical evidence behind them.

Average of 3-5 pounds per week weight loss is considered rapid. When done under physician supervision, rapid weight loss is absolutely safe. There are many instances when rapid weight loss is needed. It can be an effective short-term jumpstart to your weight loss journey.

No worries. There are some patients who choose not to incorporate medical meals into their weight loss plan. We will work with you to design a customized dietary plan using traditional foods. 

Dr. Patel can prescribe FDA approved weight loss medications if needed. These medications are evidence based and have undergone numerous studies in safety and efficacy. Weight loss medications will be prescribed based on the individual needs. We can check your insurance benefits to determine coverage for these medications. 

We recognize that weight regain is a challenge that all weight loss patients face. We do not stop seeing you when you reach your goal. Our medical team will continue to work with you via dietary, exercise, and other lifestyle modifications to make sure that you will keep the weight off!

Most major insurance plans cover physician as well as dietary counselling visits. Metabolic testing is also covered by major insurance plans.

Yes, HSA and FSA typically cover our program, including medical meals. Please confirm with your insurance company. We can provide you with a letter of medical necessity for medical meals if your insurance company requests.

Yes, Dr. Patel is board certified to see both adult and pediatric patients for weight loss.

Our Program

Our program is medically guided and tailored to your individual needs. Unlike fad diets, we combine evidence-based tools—like prescription medications, nutrition counseling, metabolic testing, and behavioral coaching—to create a plan that works for your body and your lifestyle.

That is your choice. We can prescribe FDA-approved weight loss medications (like GLP-1s) as part of your plan. However, some patients achieve success through nutrition, activity, and behavioral support alone. We personalize everything based on your needs.

Yes – they are optional. We offer high-protein medical meal replacements and structured meal plans for those who benefit from simplified, nutritionally balanced options. These are often used in the early stages of weight loss for a jump start.

We accept all major insurance plans. Medical provider and dietary counseling visits are typically covered. If you find that a visit isn’t covered, let us know—we’re happy to assist and may be able to help you get coverage.

A deductible is the amount you pay out of pocket each year before your insurance starts to pay. Even if a visit is covered, you may be responsible for the cost until your deductible is met. Once it’s met, your insurance will typically cover more.

One-Month Jumpstart Plans

Each plan is designed to fit your lifestyle and pace. RAPID offers the fastest results with all meal replacements, MODERATE allows one self-prepared meal daily, and GRADUAL gives you more flexibility with 1–2 meals of your own. During your consultation, we’ll help you pick the plan that best aligns with your goals.

Our physician-approved products are high in protein, low in carbs, and nutritionally complete. They help preserve lean muscle, reduce cravings, and support fat loss—without requiring cooking or guesswork.

Yes! Many patients start with a RAPID or MODERATE plan, then transition to GRADUAL or the STANDARD plan. We’ll guide you through each stage with ongoing support.

We will continue to help you with your weight loss journey so you don’t regain any weight you have lost. Once you get your jump start, we will transition you to sustainable, steady weight loss till you get to your goal.

We want to make your weight loss journey as easy as possible. With use of our medical meal replacements, you may notice some hunger in the first few days. But, as your body adapts to the diet, you will find that hunger subsides. A large part of this is due the excellent quality and amount of protein found in our medical meal products.

  • We at Premiere Physicians Weight & Wellness Center recognize that excess weight is at epidemic levels.  It is the cause of numerous ailments. We believe that every patient should have access to all the available treatment options for weight loss. We have very cost effective plans to fit any budget.
  • Physician and dietitian visits are submitted to your insurance company. Medical meals are often covered by HSA and FSA plans – please check with your plan. We also offer Care Credit as a payment option.

3 Month Jumpstart - Standard Plan

This plan is designed for patients who prefer to prepare their own meals. You’ll receive a fully customized meal plan, grocery lists, portion guidance, and ongoing coaching. It’s ideal for those who enjoy cooking and want maximum flexibility.

Most patients lose up to 25 lbs* over 3 months with consistent follow-up, healthy eating, and behavioral changes. Your actual results will depend on your starting point, lifestyle, and commitment. *Results may vary

Absolutely. If you want the convenience of a shake or bar during a busy day, we can integrate meal replacements into your Standard Plan as needed.

Our weight maintenance program is a personalized plan designed to help you keep the weight off after you’ve reached your goals. It includes continued medical, nutritional, behavioral, and fitness support to reinforce the healthy habits you’ve built during your weight loss journey.

Maintaining weight loss is often more challenging than losing weight. Without ongoing structure and support, it’s easy to revert to old habits. Our program helps prevent regain by keeping you engaged, motivated, and accountable with the right tools and expert guidance.

Our registered dietitians will help you transition from meal replacements to real-world eating. You’ll learn how to plan sustainable, balanced meals, navigate social events, dine out confidently, and adapt your nutrition as your lifestyle evolves.

Yes. Regular check-ins help us monitor your health, adjust medications as needed, and provide support when challenges arise. Think of it as ongoing preventive care for your weight and wellness. Once you are comfortably in maintenance, we recommend following up every 3 months with us.

Staying active is essential for long-term success. We help you create an exercise routine that fits your schedule, preferences, and fitness level—whether that means strength training, walking, group fitness, or stretching at home.

We offer body composition analysis to monitor fat and muscle changes, and resting metabolic rate (RMR) testing to ensure your calorie intake matches your body’s needs. These tools help personalize your plan and prevent unwanted weight regain.

Prescription Weight Loss Medications
